The new River Class Destroyers have ditched the Sea Ceptor, which they were going to be used for close in missile defense and instead are adopting the RIM-116. The last time CAMM was mentioned was in the spring edition of the Canadian Maritime Engineering Journal back in April.
Today in 1939, #HMCSFraser and #HMCSStLaurent, were at a celebration in Vancouver, when it became obvious that war in Europe was imminent. They were ordered to leave for Halifax, and then proceed to Europe. They had visitors onboard and had to be quietly escorted to shore. 1/2
