Recently came across a leaked #database (for educational purposes only).
The passwords were all protected with #bcrypt.
I tested their resistance using #Hashcat.
Result: ⏱️ 37 days estimated to crack them all.
💡 What I learned:
bcrypt does its job well: it deliberately slows down attacks.
With tools like Hashcat, everything depends on your computing power.
But even the best hashing algorithm can't protect weak #passwords.
This is where wordlists like #rockyou become deadly: they exploit real user habits.
