According to the police on July 30, the Seoul Seongdong Police Station decided the previous day not to forward the case involving Kim Soohyun on charges of violating the Child Welfare Act and filing a false accusation, due to insufficient evidence.
The police stated that the audio recording in question was suspected of being manipulated, and that, after considering the circumstances as a whole, (including the forensic results from the deceased’s mobile phone), they concluded there was not enough objective evidence to prove the allegations.
