In my opinion, the 'immigration referendum' stuff is a waste of time
Even if millions of people do #immigrationreferendum online, the government still has no reason to give us one
You might say it will "expose the glaring divide between the will of the people and the entrenched interests of the elite" but everyone already knows that there is a huge difference between the will of the people and the interests of the elite
You don't need to prove this to people by wasting time with hashtags, the people already know it
The only way remigration will happen is by winning MPs to pressure the mainstream parties into implementing it, not by wasting time with an immigration refendum that will never happen, and even if it does they will water down the question so much that it will barely make a difference, or just not implement the referendum result, or both
