In fact, that policy was in 2009 and Kinyarwanda has been a MoI for much longer

So, the Kinyarwanda as a medium of instruction has been policy for 10yrs. Does @Rwanda_Edu have stats on the performance of students from schools that have been complying? How do they compare to those that haven’t? #InfocusRW

My question is very specific to language of instruction as a contributor to performance. If it is the basis of the decision, and it has been in place for 10 years now, SURELY they (@Rwanda_Edu) should have been measuring impact. Do they have 10yr data to back it up? #InfocusRW
@bobnsky @Rwanda_Edu Language of instruction alone isn't sufficient to answer to any potential differences in quality of formal education.
It would be great to see more in-country local institutions involved in research to inform future education policy.
