A unique and very successful short production from our podcast #WarAndFreedom #InsightTalks, a national security conversation on "Mainstream media questionable silence" regarding US and other hostages held in #IslamicRegime's prison and regarding obscure "hostage deals" of 6 billion dollars from September 2023.
I sat with co-host @GazelleSharmahd at the @WhiteHouse gate one night and after long days on the Hill, we reviewed our meetings with lawmakers and their staff and raised more questions. We will return for the next Congress and resume those conversations.

It is basically about Middle East Americans -but also other communities- who have left, some have escaped, their mother countries where freedom was lost, and joined their adopted home, America. Only to realize that freedom is under threat even here in the United States. They realize that the oppressive regimes and militias that stole the liberties over there are actively funding and organizing the end of freedom here.
@GazelleSharmahd and I conclude, like many others, that this is the last frontier for freedom, and we need to stand with US born patriots, from any political camp, to defend liberty in America, and the freedom of America.

A snipet from episode number 2 of our podcast #WarAndFreedom #InsightTalks dropped on May 15. In it, I discuss with co-host @GazelleSharmahd examples of how NGOs representing civil societies in the Middle East can petition the UN and INGOs to raise their human rights and national rights dossiers. I gave examples, including my participation in the introduction and making of UNSCR 1559 in 2004, leading to the withdrawal of the Assad regime forces from Lebanon in 2005. Then, my participation in other security council resolutions processes such as the Darfur and Yazidis resolutions efforts in 2005 and 2014. Again, in each case, you need coalitions and strategic planning.

The world is moving to podcasting, and social media seems to be the gate to the future. Seven billion people want to know more and faster. The old systems aren't responding efficiently. What you get in a classroom is what donors and organized networks want the students to hear.
What's happening on campuses since October 7 is evidence of the collapse of higher education. To get to the point that protesters who know nothing about overseas conflicts are chanting "death to America" is equivalent to an educational apocalypse.
I spent 30 years in classrooms teaching foreign policy, two decades briefing government agencies, and lawmakers on actual conflicts in the Middle East. I met @GazelleSharmahd, who has been fully invested for four years in trying to save her father from Iran regime jails. He was tortured and sentenced to death. She became a human rights activist and met many leaders and freedom fighters. We realized that our both experiences can create something unique. We decided to launch a podcast with the help of a talented small team.
