John Davies, 45, an "undoubtedly dangerous" paedophile & registered sex offender, has received an extended 20-year jail sentence, comprising 14-and-a-half years custody & five-and-a-half years extended license. He pleaded guilty to arranging the commission of a child sex offence (rape of a child under 13) & other charges. Davies discussed in "graphic detail" with the mother of a 12-year-old girl how he would rape her daughter, including the extent of abuse & clothes she would wear. The mother allegedly arranged for Davies to stay at her home for a week while her husband was away. Davies also sent the mother a photograph of his sex toy collection, explaining their use. Police visited his home in April 2024, recovering a mobile phone with 132 Category A indecent images of children, 35 at Category B, & 77 at Category C. Prosecutor Josh Daley stated the images showed young girls, aged six to nine, being raped & in pain. Davies was previously jailed in 2016 for attempting to meet a child & breached a Sexual Harm Prevention Order five times between 2022 & 2023.
