@PiratePeel @PhilChodrow @aliceschwarze Ah yes, I see I’ve forgotten that 1/2 my Twitter followers are network scientists who bring in more network scientists, so then the conversation becomes “don’t use R,” when really I should have clarified that the poll was for the ecologists in the room. #interdisciplinaryproblems

Sad but pretty much true! But it's ok if you like being on the outside anyway, getting called 'interesting' a lot and nearly killing yourself getting a job 😂 #InterdisciplinaryProblems

Huh. I just read a paper that beautifully articulated why there's a more useful way of deploying a commonly (mis)used term. But it's broadly how I understood the word anyway, and I didn't even realise other people might mean it differently... #InterdisciplinaryProblems

I gotta start writing stuff that’s easier to fit journals. Every time I’m trying to find a journal fit, I go through the internal debate: A) is it too nursing for this education journal? B) is it too education for this nursing/health journal? #interdisciplinaryproblems

@ArchaeologyLisa I feel your frustration, like a lot of research buzz words are banned about but don't follow through on their promises and/or expectations and they fall short of the mark #coveringthecracks #interdisciplinaryproblems

Frustrating that my recent proposal in this area was rejected without review for ‘being outside the council remit’! #interdisciplinaryproblems https://t.co/1uNFNvBK0F

this reviewer's comments make no sense, even after i did the mandatory "waiting for my reflexively bruised ego to subside and looking at all possible meanings of the comments" thing #InterdisciplinaryProblems #NapTime
