A local school was struggling to get snas in order to be able to facilitate July Provision, so I decided to head back as an sna in 2wks time to help out. I know the importance of JP for children & families. This years is a shambles, & causing stress for many. #julyprovision
Here’s another failing that impacts families and carers massively.
The #JulyProvision is literally a life line for those who need it. It offers structure and supports over summer months, and as we all know respite is the holy grail of the disability world, July provision also offers some relief to those caring 24/7. Yet once again the state fails us on this essential support.

1/ So our special school had planned to give 8 classes in the school July provision over one week but the @Education_Ire didn’t sanction it & said they need to do 2 weeks so now only 4 classes out of the entire school will get 4 weeks. The rest will get nothing.
