The prayer space that had been running calmly and comfortably for two years was suddenly a “health and safety risk” according to new management.

LAE SLT offer an off-site "Quiet Room" for students, despite rooms being available on-site. The student body was not consulted on this.
The Quiet Room is a bar.

2012 - Students pray freely
LAE sixth form in Stratford opened in the year 2012.
Students were allowed to pray anytime in the main hall on-site.

15. Many students are refusing to use the facility as it is not fit for purpose. Instead, they are forced to continue praying outside in public.

On top of this the unfair rules imposed on anyone wanting to use the off-site facility to pray are appalling.

Despite only being open for 2 weeks the facility has already been closed due to construction work. No alternative site has been offered.

8. The space is only available for an hour during lunch meaning students have no place to pray any other prayers that fall during school time.
Students have to pray outside for any prayers that aren't during the booking slot.
