We believe that the school is in breach of these obligations.
The report approaches the needs of Muslim and non-Muslim students as unnecessarily antagonistic and does not meet the demands of the LAE-XPOSED campaign. 3/3
🧵Rebuttal: Winners & losers?
LAE's "independent" report does not seek an equitable resolution of the issue of prayer facilities, rather it approaches it as if there should be a ‘winning’ and ‘losing’ side, with the investigator adjudicating as to who should win.🙄 1/7
Not only is this untrue, but the elected Student Council - representative of the student body - consistently voted and campaigned for a prayer space at school. 6/7
🚨UPDATE: Our full rebuttal of LAE's flawed investigation report has been released!
This report can be found at https://t.co/BY5ThOnSCp and highlights a number of discrepancies.
5/ A commitment to address institutional Islamophobia and to build an inclusive environment for Muslim students at LAE, in line with the Equalities Act 2010.
