A local #LibDem councillor sent plod to my house to 'offer words of advice' when I observed on here that the deputy mayor's accent was so thick that I couldn't understand him, and so he was therefore a poor voice for the area.

✅ Easier and more convenient reporting of repairs
✅ Clearer updates on works, timescales and any changes
✅ Greater flexibility to reschedule appointments
✅ New technology to help improve the quality, warmth and sustainability of council homes
The new service will be delivered by Equans, WPS and Mears, working alongside the council to support our investment of more than £200 million every year in council homes.
In the past year alone, that investment has delivered 35,000 upgrades to 6,000 council homes, helping to ensure residents live in warm, safe and sustainable homes now and in the future.

Council Leader Roger Harmer, #LibDem Acocks Green Cllr said:”Kier should not have written to residents before checking with the Council,but I am pleased to report that this has been put right and residents will soon receive further notification about when the work will be done.”
This followed the Labour Government cancelling the #Birmingham Highways PFI contract that had been funding the work.
Thanks to a #LibDem amendment to the current budget, adding £25m to its own highways maintenance budget, the #Council has the funding to ensure the works happens.
Joining an EU customs union would put UP import tariffs that have been cut since Brexit to lower shop prices.
Joining the EU single market would hand swathes of lawmaking back to undemocratic EU institutions.
