Hi. We ✨have✨ to do something about these early start times in MNPS. I can barely function waking up at 4:45 everyone morning and here we are expecting young people to be ready to discuss high level texts by 7:05am. #laterstarttimes

@Erin_E_Davis And using sports/jobs/etc. as an argument against #laterstarttimes doesn’t hold up when you look at the benefits to our students. Makes me wonder why the traditional workday starts at 9am, but we make our kids be ready to learn and engage up to 2hrs earlier...

Please don’t give up. My family has just started the early start time and waking up at 5:30am to leave for school at 6:30 is TOO EARLY for teens. It has been one week and my daughter is exhausted. We must do better for our children’s brains. #LaterStartTimes
