If the adherence in #EATStudy had been as good as in #LEAPStudy, peanut allergy would have reduced from 2.5% to 0.29%. EAT recruited from the general population - it demonstrates that most infants with peanut allergy are found in the very large low risk group. 6/12
Early introduction of peanut products resulted in
an 81% reduction in peanut allergy at 5 years in #LEAPStudy. Many infants though were excluded
because they already had peanut allergy. If all these infants were included in the analysis, there was only a 52% reduction. 3/12
