The Uganda Tourism Board has officially launched a 2.6-kilometer tourism access road to the 3rd waterfall in Sipi falls in Kapchorwa District, this strategic move is aimed at unlocking the region’s tourism potential.

On Tourism,Mr Naibei Ramathan a tour guide from Sipi pointed out that they lacked Public toilets for tourists,the trails to the waterfalls were not good and resting shades for tourists. This was responded to by the Tourism officer my Chemonges Isaac who reported that his office..
According to Byakuyamba Peter of @TTooronet , a regional LED meeting reviewed progress and emphasized the need to reactivate committees, utilize idle facilities, and profile investment opportunities.

Among the action points that emerged:
✅️ Operationalise the District LED Committees so they can execute their mandate.
✅️ LED Policy needs to be a key agenda item for discussion by the District Councils.
✅️ Planning and Budgeting for LED Committees is highly desired.
✅️ Develop a Tooro region investment plan and also profile the different investment initiatives for Tooro sub region.
✅️ Mindset change for communities to embrace and sustain development initiatives.
✅️ There's need for meaningful involvement of communities in development to ignite #Giving4Devt and #Give4Good spirit.
✅️ Capacity building for local government leaders in lobbying. @MoLGUganda
