We have been “demanding” this from our school board for over 3 years. It’s a HEAVY LIFT for parents and has cost us personally. Yes we have FINALLY had success but there must be an easier way. #literacynotlucy
Most states do NOT have control over #reading curriculum, districts do. Most districts use poor-quality #BalancedLiteracy curriculum (e.g., @LucyCalkins Units of Study, @FountasPinnell Classroom).
