In the Mixed Zone, Jereem “the Dream” Richards, silver medal in 400 meters, first WC medal since his bronze in 200 meters in #london3”2017. A quite emotional declaration from our friend, Jereem, who is coached by Lance Brauman. Coach/athlete relationships are part of the artistry of our sport. #JereemRichards, #TrinidadandTobago, #400meters, #tokyo2025, #inthemixedzone,
good article @WHurst1 Highlights the tension between being a “can-do” or a “shouldn’t have it done” leader. frequently boils down to confidence & truly understanding places/dynamics of city making. We need to support leaders to be, as Farrell says, “clients for place” #london3.0
@JackieSadek Only last week, as part of a #london3.0 discussion, with @PatHayes_ and others we talked about the benefits in both London and NYC in terms of bringing more diverse audience into planning meetings, etc
Looking forward to @patricialondon #London3.0 event tomorrow on London’s creative economy, with a stellar cast of speakers and a fab guest list of London influencers
It’s going to be a great #London Stewardship #London3.0 event tomorrow convened by @patricialondon! Delighted to join Ken Dytor @JackieSadek and Professor Tony Travers for a reunion of the famous 2020 #NewYork Study Group (see pic below) which was the catalyst for UK #BIDS

.@MichaelMarmot yet again has a refreshing clarity on the issues & way forward, stating plainly that defunding public services is core to our tragic situation. Time to “Build back fairer” - chimes with our discussions yesterday and more @JackHopkins_Lab and #london3.0
A recommendation in 1998 CLP action plan was to sustain a mixed community in CAZ something Communities and Homes in Central London (CHiCL) campaigned for. The “urban renaissance”, mobile global investment and social housing policy killed this aspiration. Part of #London3.0 frame
We do all realise that city centres wouldn’t be on their knees as wastelands right now if the past 20yrs of corp/gov policy wasn’t focused on squeezing people out in the name of “progress”.
Maybe prioritising key worker housing in CBD’s was a good idea after all?
From @kwamekweiarmah monuments & statues across our city should speak not to a past that valued only enterprise or philanthropy (to cleanse excesses) but a London that celebrates its heart & soul, and is world leading in every aspect of human endeavour #London3.0 @festivalofplace
Delighted to hear @M_Heffernan sing my tune - ‘we have to seek out people not like ourselves’ as we take the next steps in emerging from this crisis. Overcoming the “PLU Syndrome” is fundamental to building a better world - beyond the pandemic #london3.0 #jerichoconversations
As Sarah says, we never left @PaulLincoln To help sustain successful cities we need people who care; care about detail & joining it up w. the big picture & vision. Have we got enough of the right type of people who get it? That’s a discussion that we’ll be having in #London3.0
Hoid to see this @WillSandyDesign Nice. @vestrefurniture is a company that cares about the way we live in cities, as well as designing beautiful products for them. I am therefore delighted they are a foundation partner of #london3.0 @RomyRawlings
As always, a well considered approach by @vestrefurniture has won them best stand at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair featuring a simple palette of re-usable stock materials & info about the carbon footprint of every product. https://t.co/1Y5p5yMS3w via @dezeen @romyrawlings
Good thread from @Josh_Artus that echoes my view that we have to have an empirical and empathic approach to planning and refreshing our city/cities. It’s a central element of shaping our #London3.0
Good state of play report from @IPUT_plc and @arup (led by @ldoody) on Real Estate / Cities / Tech.
Some key observations I took from it:

Cities w/o children? It’s hard to square the many fab built environment people who care about places with some of the negatives that are happening in our cities. Whether they are unintended consequences or done with intent, some things are going backwards, not forwards #london3.0
Are big cities bound to be child-free? https://t.co/f7nQIUBRy3
A packed house at this morning’s London networking breakfast. Looking forward to hearing from our speakers @patricialondon @CraigWhiteLDN @SdeSavary @LDN_gov @Hammersonplc @TfL
Thank you @ReigatiansWuns for the 2nd XV fixture.Lots of youth on the pitch #london3 #goodstart #lotstoworkon

Good to see this published @JudithREvans and as discussed, links well with #London3.0 “Global cities may be deeply plugged into the world economy, but that no longer guarantees their populations will grow.”
Global cities begin to shrink as inner areas empty out https://t.co/VimL8EGdmR
