The meeting provided a valuable platform to review the #outcomes of the recently concluded cluster meetings, discuss #strategies for strengthening #communication with #parents and #families of Sponsored Children, and address #challenges faced by Community Volunteers and Focal Point Persons in their work. Together, we identified practical #solutions and charted a clear way forward to enhance programme #implementation and #community engagement.

Yesterday, @Mwarpkenya continued with cluster meetings in #Kikoneni and #Kiranze wards, #Lungalunga Sub-County, under the Sponsorship Project being implemented in partnership with @PlanKenya in #Kwale County.
The meetings brought together #parents and #guardians of sponsored children, providing an opportunity to formally introduce MWARP and strengthen collaboration in supporting children's wellbeing and development.
Through these engagements, parents and guardians gained a better understanding of the project, MWARP’s role, and the collective responsibility of ensuring positive outcomes for #children and their #communities.

Following yesterday's successful engagement in #LungaLunga, today @Mwarpkenya continued our pre-public participation forums, meeting with residents from #Msambweni Sub-County. The forum brought together community members from #Bongwe_Bombato, #Ramisi, #Ukunda, and #Kinondo Wards to discuss the #kwale_county_gender_and_social_inclusion_policy Draft
These preliminary consultations are particularly timely, as the @OurKwaleCounty will be conducting official public participation sessions from Monday, January 13th through Friday, January 17th, 2025, to collect views from citizens across the county.
Again! This initiative has been made possible through the generous support of two distinct projects: the @amkeniwakenya project by the @NLinKenya through @UNDPKenya and the #KujengaAmani Project by the @EUinKenya.
Our commitment remains steadfast in seeing this policy come to fruition in the near future, as it will serve as a cornerstone for promoting equality and inclusion throughout Kwale County.
COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS EMPOWERMENT 🏆
This weekend, @Mwarpkenya held an engagement meeting with Budget & Community Champions from #Msambweni, #Lungalunga, and #Kinango Sub-Counties. These champions are part of two key projects:
🔹 #AmkeniWakenya project, funded by the @NLinKenya 🇳🇱 through @UNDPKenya (active in #Msambweni and #Lungalunga)
🔹 Community Engage and Transform -#CET project, funded by @KCDF (active in #Kinango)
The session served as a refresher course to enhance the champions' knowledge and skills in budget analysis processes. It also supported them in identifying high-priority projects for monitoring, follow-up, and social audit procedures.
This strategic meeting underscores our commitment to empowering local champions and promoting transparent, community-driven development across these three sub-counties.
