Look at how ALL cycle mechanics move bikes around & hook them up vertically with ease..... by keeping the back wheel on the floor, & having no weight to lift off the floor

With design as specialisation but often ignored despite designing stowage that works for 25yr >
@PearlMRAhrens In 2014 we 'tested' the mock-up (which worked after a fashion) & made comments - which were rejected, AND the design WAS CHANGED to make it impossible to use with tyres larger then 37mm

@JoolzPedals @ScotRail This crap design totally failed to engage with folk like me who've designed & sourced cycle stowage on trains, buses &c since 1990's
It leaves operator seriously liable for injuries, as it falls outside safe lifting standards per @H_S_E #MHOR1992

That looks closer to 1.0m (assuming 70cm tyres)

@UrbanistTOC @harrielspencer @TPExpressTrains making it almost impossible to get a regular 37mm ETRTO tyre on a regular touring rim on to the hook, especially when you're lifting the full weight of the bike, off the floor, at an angle in a limited space - usually well outside #HSE-set limits (#MHOR1992)
