I LOVE to halve numbers...dividing by 4 is the same as halving a number twice!! Round 96 to 100, halve it, which gives 2 parts worth 50 each. Halve the 2 parts, which gives 4 equal parts of 25. Takeaway 1 from each, makes 24!

1st use 100-4
2nd use 80+16
3rd I know 96=6*16

Since I added one more group of 4 to 96 to get 100 divided by 4=25, I took one away from my answer. So 96 divided by 4 is 24. #mmmmathtalk
