Was a relaxing first for me but second weekly #MMORPGChat with @SandboxPantheon . make sure to go check out the question and answers. #mmorpg #MMO
@SandboxPantheon A10: Community managers and staff i feel get there
butts kicked by the community. Having townhalls with community Leaders in the game to here feed back will make it feel change can happen. And not just saying the big guilds. get proper mix of participants #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A9: So games that start out as a Sub based game and change to Free-to-play tend to feel like they have failed and trying to make back the lose by the change. So giving the community a way to pay for sub in-game or with money feels like a good balance. #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A8: Feedback from community is a double edge sword it can help yet hurt a games longevity. Having open communication like live streams and letters from the producer does help make the community feel involved. having e-mails or in-game prompts asking for feed. #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A7: When navmesh is not good can cause bugs that can be game breaking. which in turn makes content less impactful or unplayable. graphics i feel don't destroy a games playability if the content is good. #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A6: Game story depending on the generation is important to a good story as long as it is not generic. a story that keeps you guessing and make you feel part of the characters life. if its not compelling feels like the world does not have a life. #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A5: Features that tend to keep people invested is the feeling of ownership in-game like housing or ways to show your prestige in-game. Of course good update schedule. #MMORPGchat
@SandboxPantheon A4: But when that Toxicity flows into people real life that is undesired effect. Part 2 #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A4: Toxicity is an interesting problem for games. Think about a game like Ultima Online....the rampant Toxic PKing actually helped to Drive the Game forward and challenged Players to get better. Part 1 #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A4: Game features that help build toxicity like LFR (looking for raid) that do help people try raids with out a raid team tend to make people ignore those with that kinda gear cause a divide and toxicity. Keeping community's on same level will help with toxicity #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A3: To use #FFXIV as a great example they have a great track record for fairly speedy updates of propper quailty. It can help community stay engaged and create content both from the community and staff going forward. #MMORPGChat
@SandboxPantheon A2: Balance can sway people towards meta's that can be unfavorable to community and cause toxicity. This requires beta testing with a great deal of testing that most AAA company don't give proper time to. #MMORPGchat
@SandboxPantheon A1: Microtransactions, toxic community with no help from mods, sub-par finished games and non-transparency #MMORPGchat
