When trains are convenient, faster, cheaper.
If Canada charged tolls to cover the cost of the highways, and heavily taxed flights under 90 min, it'd find the $$$ to build fast train Montreal-Toronto.

Despite being the same distance apart, there are 89 fewer trains every day between Montréal and Toronto than between Milan and Rome. The former also takes two hours longer. Canada can do better.

The service between Edinburgh and Perth is abysmal - most trains stop everywhere since the service was revised, and it takes forever. We'd like a first class service please.
