For anyone learning, you can see the time stamps (18m difference) on these to get a sense for what I mean with Liquidity vs volatility. Note as well the size of the spread between Bid Ask on the individual options as well as the spread itself. #options #marketvol #bearmarket #financialeducation

Options folks posting weird stuff on my feed. Reminder: Marks are NOT the same as getting your trade off. Spreads are wide right now, which indicates most of your mark is liquidity. If you are short-dated, you likely have another 20min at most. If you're long-dated, there is no trading happening. The below $1 spread indicates the MM isn't willing to play. This spread should never be more than $1 either side. And you'll see this all the way down the chain.
