I'm going through the initial #MassimoCon pics. This one of Charlie Hasan, aka "Captain Retail," is one of my favorites. Charlie (on the left) is a captain in the US Army, a shopping center owner, and a #CRE broker.
Last week, right before happy hour at #MassimoCon 24, Massimo Master Broker, #CRE top producer and national recording artist, Mike Davis of Cushman & Wakefield shared a little "ditty."

Confession: I failed at calling something in and it's weighing on my heart.
When we were in Arlington, TX for #MassimoCon I saw something that made me pause and question but then I did nothing.
We were staying at the Arlington Loew's hotel, the same hotel a lot of celebrities and others were staying at for the Tyson/Paul fight. It's an absolutely gorgeous hotel.
What made me pause though, was a group of about 10 girls, kind of piled on top of one another in the lobby seating area.
This was at 8:30 am on Friday. We were checking out and rushing to get to the airport.
Why did I pause? Because I know the stats for sex trafficking and I know what it looks like. I know that kids, women, and men of all ages get trafficked during major shows and sporting events.
But because I was in such a hurry, I didn't STOP and call or ask what those girls were doing there. I looked for school colors or bags, but didn't see anything.
It then completely slipped my mind until we got home.
I brought it up to my husband yesterday and asked him if he saw them. He said he did, but just like me, we were rushing and he didn't think of it until I reminded him. We both agreed that we knew what they were there for.
And we both failed to do anything.
I am a "if you see something, say something" person. I do not keep my mouth shut (much to the embarrassment of my kids) and yes, I will get in the middle of something or call attention to it because I am a loud mouth.
Anyway, this is just a reminder to not be like me. Don't be in such a hurry to NOT call it when you see it. Here's the website if you need more info:

2. Elements of brokerage work can become hobbies — and enjoyable hobbies are addicting.

5. Focus on your unique gifts and delegate the rest. Who, not how.
6. Set up each day to end satisfied with your work.
7. When speakers at a conference listen intently to the other speakers from the front row, you’re in the right place.
8. "Adjectives don’t convey expertise."
9. Ask yourself: Is what you’re sending worth saving? Is what you’re building attracting teammates?
10. Hunger for success is crucial, but it’s meaningless without a solid implementation plan.
