I gave the Annual Conference report to both services this morning @JacksonUMChurch from the #NGAC18 in Athens. We talked about the need to be in conversation with each other as we move toward the Special Session of the #GeneralConference2019 and to be in prayer for our leaders.
Our Bishop Sue Haupert Johnson's address last week at #NGAC18 is finally available. It was a very moving and heartfelt talk with our delegation and the future of the UMC. If you haven't seen it, it is worth watching and if you have, watch it again. https://t.co/We4RcVPOw3
For the 3rd year in a row—you, Northside Church—won the Excellence in Mission Award which was presented at the NGA Annual Conference last week. Thank you for going into the world to serve others! #KnowGrowGo #GoIntoTheWorld #Serve #Missions #NGAC18
Sometimes I find it difficult to preach after hearing so many great sermons at #ngac18. I find myself wanted to preach someone else's sermon. Today I need to tell the story God sent to me. #goodproblems
@RevSondra @SueHaupJohn I really hope that makes it onto the saves from the livecast. #ngumc #ngac18 #Holymischief
I took away much from #ngac18 this week but one thing I was reminded of is that we #UnitedMethodists are part of something bigger than our own churches and congregations. Our diversity makes us stronger collectively than holding on to our individual fears allow. See you @ #ngac19
I came home from AC much more hopeful for our future than I arrived. I will now resume Twitter lurker status until next year. #ngac18
The #AnnualConference has come to a close and the mural is finished too. Thanks to everyone who made this a successful event, a deeply moving spiritual experience and a wake up call for #UnitedMethodists. Thank you Bishop @SueHaupJohn for your passion and love of the UMC #ngac18
Hey @TheVineChurch! Don't just check off the box, meditate on what you're reading. Today at #ngac18 we were reminded of #lectiodivina. #OnYourMarkTVC
Very proud to see my former pastor and my friend Rev. Dr. Alice Rogers become the District Superintendent of the Gainesville District in the #NorthGeorgiaConference today. She will be a dynamic leader of that district and I know they will appreciate her many gifts #NGAC18
"There is a future and I know nothing about it...What I do know is that it is going to get worse before it gets better... But you wanna a final spiritual discipline: be an obedient church" -Rodrigo Cruz. Amen. #ngac18
Jesus never hung out with rich people until they beat him and killed him. @SueHaupJohn #ngac18
You don’t win a war with words - you win with sacrifice, humility, and being on your knees @revrodrigocruz #ngac18
"When it comes to the Bible, I love big 'buts' and I cannot lie." -Rodrigo Cruz #ngac18
