#NWSSPC #NOAA #NWSPAH 3/18/26 Sunday's Tornado Outbreak. There was a 25% chance of a non-event. There was a 75% risk of the event occurring. We are up to 55 tornadoes now from Sunday's outbreak. They are still finding damage paths. So, the number could rise. Great job by all.

On August 24, strong winds over 60 mph hit Camp Verde, knocking down 10 power poles and leaving more than 2,000 people without power. Crews expected it would take more than a day to get the lights back on—but thanks to their hard work, power was restored by mid-morning Monday.

Misc comments on today’s weather and pronounced EML… 12z observed sounding from Topeka looks like near/above a late-April daily record for observed MUCAPE (3000+ J/kg), but also a near-record warm 700mb temp (11.0 C). 🤷‍♂️ #HWT #NWSSPC

Windbag Watch. Winds could exceed 75 mph in severe T-storms across parts of the Midwest/Ohio Valley Monday afternoon/evening. Per #NWSSPC: "It appears possible that a long-lived bowing MCS could result in a swath of considerable wind damage along this corridor."
