Great news! We just brought @LuigiCPA (#LouBarberini) onboard to cover the @SFDAOffice beat as well as the unreported crimes at #navigationcenters and beyond. Together we will be taking on corruption at #CityHall and in the #homelessindustry, like SRO scams (Randy Shaw 👀 👈)

If I had my druthers SF would ditch @SF_HSH entirely. Since its formation in 2016, homelessness has INCREASED 30%. Their big idea — #navigationcenters — BIG FAIL. So it doesn’t matter whether they put @amandakfried or my #pitbull Skylar in this job, they are going to fail.

@SFanon2 @samela88 @MattHaneySF @SFPDDCLazar So sorry. Why am I not surprised? Because we’re not getting a response either. And all other Districts are watching this ordeal carefully, collecting evidence NOT to allow #NavigationCenters within their boundaries.

Shelters aren’t the answer, nor are #navigationcenters. They’re both temporary. We need something akin to @solution4change or #CommunityFirstVillage. People must share accountability, participate, get jobs, pay rent. It’s not sustainable for SF otherwise. #TeachAManToFish

@TheMarinaTimes @GavinNewsom Newsom also commented, as governor, on SF's homeless problem, saying that throwing more $ at it would not fix it. I do believe that building MANY more shelters is key to solving the homeless problem, so if he's beginning to awaken to that & make plans for that, great.
