We selected 51 HFpEF patients from the #OptimEx trial who:
✅were randomized to training groups
✅completed 3 months of training w/ good adherence
These were divided in
⏩discovery&validation cohort
⏩low&high responders
⏩microRNA array, qPCR validation & in silico pathways

Regarding setting, in #OptimEx: 3 mo ambulatory hospital-based followed by 9 mo home-based with weekly telemonitoring of sessions (frequency, duration, & intensity through heart rate). Still compliance not as good as hoped for.
Focusing on #exercise in #heartfailure: in #OptimEx and #SmartEx trials improved VO2, not sustained at 1 year - perhaps long term supervision is the answer?
