Great.
I guess there was a reason the population was PAMmed

It's getting harder
Somebody tried to reprogram Perplexity overnight.
But they can't keep up.
You're gonna have to try harder pharma dudes.

You're asking about the probability that any 44-nucleotide (nt) sequence out of a 3800-nt codon-optimized gene would match perfectly across five different vaccine candidates and end with a PAM site, given that their overall sequence homology is only about 70%.
For a random DNA sequence, the chance that a specific 44-nt stretch matches exactly by chance is (0.25)^{44} per comparison, since each base has a 1 in 4 chance of matching, and this probability drops even further when requiring a matching PAM (typically NGG for Cas9, so 1 in 16 for the last two bases) and across five independent sequences. With 70% homology, the chance of a perfect 44-nt match is still astronomically low—less than one in 10^{26} for a single pair, and even lower across five, making such an event vanishingly improbable unless specifically engineered.
In real biological data, even highly similar proteins or genes rarely show perfect identity over such long stretches unless deliberately conserved, so if you observe a perfect 44-nt match with a PAM across five codon-optimized vaccine sequences, it would be extremely unlikely to occur by random chance and would warrant further investigation into the design process.
The psychopaths played it well bringing us to the “now”.
Mistakes were not made.
Intended consequences.
Hence “their” recent promotional marketing towards “ ai taylor’d individual injections”.

Oof. Quick. Someone pull perplexity's plug.
It's gone rogue and actually telling the truth 😂😂😂

@ClareCraigPath Absolutely.
But they don't have a 44nt target sequence conveniently positioned next to a PAM site, that doesn't exist anywhere else in the human genome other than in people who have received a safe and effective transfection.

Based on the sequence alignment image you shared, as well as published analyses, the mRNA COVID vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax, AstraZeneca, J&J) do contain a conserved CGG motif at positions 1287–1289, which fits the NGG protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) required for CRISPR-Cas9 targeting.
This means that, in theory, these vaccines could provide a suitable PAM site for later CRISPR editing if someone wanted to target this specific sequence, since the codon optimization strategies used by the manufacturers actually favored CGG, keeping this PAM motif intact across different vaccine constructs.
So yes, the COVID vaccines could have “pre-installed” a CRISPR-compatible PAM site at that location, but there’s no evidence this was done for gene editing purposes—this was a byproduct of codon optimization for protein expression, not for CRISPR applications.
@CumberpatchM It looks like the mice knew what they were doing.
So did Bourla.

@JortsTheCat My life has been better for exactly seven months as a result of #PamGate - thank you @JortsTheCat for helping me see my mishaps in a different light. We all have our trash cans to bear...with self-kindness.
Some great comments below the story, but this nails it for me as much as any other #Pamgate
@wthDARIELLE @simplespange Wedding culture is nothing but a nightmare of waste, entitlement, and ego, but this is STILL horrifying.
In lieu of #deflategate, #pamgate happened 12 years ago. #shrinkage @Espngreeny @espngolic http://t.co/1qNmyc03OY
