3. The Cure, Mogwai, Twilight Sad, Joy Formidable - Bellahouston Park, Glasgow
Late decision to buy a ticket, and despite quagmire conditions, I got down early for a spot near the front. The Cure are always fantastic, and great supports too.

5. Wozniak - The Cumberland Arms, Newcastle & The Wee Red Bar, Edinburgh
Great to see them live again, the first time in Feb just after Space Between the Trees was released. New songs sounded awesome as well as the older ones, with Scottish Dancer a highlight

It’s almost 3 months since 2019 finished so I really ought to complete my countdown, just my top 5 gigs left.
I attended 14 up & down Britain, which is my most since the heyday of 1991.

1. (218 plays) The Space Between The Trees - Wozniak
my favourite release of the year, whether it’s an EP or album (I say mini-album), perfect mix of shoegaze/post-rock for me, and was lucky to see them live twice. Again this shouldn’t be a surprise to you.

It’s almost the end of January and I haven’t done my best of 2019 lists yet, so let’s see if I can finish tonight. Should all be familiar from my quarterly summaries.
I’ll start with Tracks, then Albums/EPs, Artists and finally Gigs.

Top 15 artists:
⬇️🔟 15. Low - still being regularly played but no newly bought albums
🆕 14. Depeche Mode - was inspired to listen to my playlist of best DM songs at some point, a Twitter poll/contest I think
#PL2019mostplayed
This may also delay my quarterly update, due after tomorrow, and of course the annual most listened to list.
