05/10/2024-Today in the morning, armed Nuer group attacked #Puol and #Pinyman in #Itang district wounding two farmers. When the #ENDF arrived at the scene, they turned their weapons against the farmers who were defending their villages and killed one farmer. Is it the goal of the #ENDF for the Anywaa farmers to leave their villages in #Itang district just like they did in #Jor district? Then what, what can the #ENDF gain if the farmers leave their villages and give them up to the #Riek Machar’s forces and the #White_Army? The attack on the farmers by the ENDF will not displace them, but it will turn the population against the government if they don’t have a disciplined army!

The Nuer refugees have attacked #Pinyman and #Puol villages some hours ago and the fighting is still ongoing. The Anywaa people will continue to protect their villages from these South Sudanese refugees since there’s no competent gov’t in #Ethiopia. What criteria is the current #Ethiopia missing to be qualified as a failed state?

Two Anywaa villages (#Punywaa and #Puol villages) are today under attack by the Nuer refugees. The fighting is getting intense in these villages, and the conflict is reaching #Gambella town! Congratulations to the leaders of #GLF, and their partners @DanielBekele and #OLF supporters. After jailing targeted individuals from the special forces, now they can carryon with the plan!

I am calling on all my #Ethiopian brothers and sisters to take this very seriously and share it with the world. I know the #GoE will do NOTHING about it because of their interest and benefits, but your voice is very important. It’s a good gesture for a country to take in refugees and give them a second chance. Any country should strive for that! For example, the United States takes in a specific number of refugees each year based on their capacity. They do consider the resources that they have and the security of their citizens. But, what has been and still happening in #Gambella #Ethiopia is a systematic killing of indigenous people using the refugees. The population of refugees is three times larger than the local population. Instead of living in peace with the indigenous people, the refugees are claiming themselves to be #Ethiopian; they’re involved and competing in the local government; they are killing indigenous, violently taking over lands and changing the names of some villages into their language. Here in the picture they laid out the map of #Naath Nation (Nuer State) which will includes #Gambella as one of their cities. The #GoE is currently sending thousands more #Nuer refugees from #Khartoum to Gambella. This is a threat to the existence of the local #Anywaa indigenous who have already left many of their villages due to the killings and violence by the #refugees. This will be a very serious threat for the people and the national security as well. The government of #Ethiopia doesn’t care about this small Anywaa ethnic group, which is on the verge of extinction. If the international community stays quiet and deafened their ears about this, they will be also responsible for the extinction of this small ethnic group in #Ethiopia. We are not against refugees! We are against the systematic killing of the indigenous people for the benefits that the #GoE gets through refugees program. We are against this plan of creating a new Nuer State which includes the Anywaa land! The hope of refugees should be to go back to their peaceful country one day, NOT killing their host communities and claiming their lands! That’s an evil plan, and it’s against the international law.
