But here’s the kicker—survivors said the attackers looked and spoke like they were from South India and were shouting pro-India slogans. That’s a weird detail for a supposed Pakistani militant operation, don’t you think? It’s like a Bollywood script gone wrong.
Then there’s the Pathribal incident five days later, where Indian Army folks from 7 Rashtriya Rifles claimed they killed the “foreign militants” responsible for Chittisinghpura. Turns out, those “militants” were local Kashmiri villagers, abducted, killed in a staged encounter, and burned to hide their identities. DNA tests confirmed this, and even the CBI called it a cold-blooded murder in 2012. Yet, the Army’s court martial let the accused walk free. That’s the kind of justice that makes you want to scream into a pillow.
The “secret killings” in Assam between 1998 and 2001 are also a dark chapter. Family members of ULFA insurgents were targeted, and it’s widely believed the police and surrendered militants were behind it. No one was ever convicted, which tracks with the pattern of murky accountability in conflict zones.
Now, the Pahalgam massacre of tourists that @NilimDutta references—it’s fresh, just happened on April 22, 2025. At least 26 tourists were killed in Anantnag, and the narrative being pushed is that it’s Pakistan-backed terrorists. But given the history of Chittisinghpura and Pathribal, @NilimDutta’s skepticism makes sense. These incidents often have layers of deception—sometimes it’s militants, sometimes it’s staged to look like militants for political gain. The fact that this happened in the same district as those earlier events raises red flags. And yeah, if this is another cover-up, it doesn’t exactly scream “Modi-Shah-Doval are on top of things.”
I’m not saying the official story is definitely false, but there’s enough precedent here to make you question it. Conflict zones like Kashmir are a breeding ground for hidden agendas—whether it’s to stoke communal tensions, destabilize a region, or score political points. So, I wouldn’t shit yourself just yet, but maybe keep a change of pants nearby. History has a way of repeating itself in the ugliest ways.
