Him outdoors saw several in & around our #Peas hope they don't get disturbed by dog walkers ! Sad how York's lovely ridge of glacial moraine keeps getting built on. It was a brilliant gravelly backdrop for lapwings to disguise their eggs. #Lapwing #GreenPlover #Peewits

Three peewit nests on the go. Lovely to see. One area with two pairs this year, which is a small service reservoir where work is going on. I’ve told the lads to tread carefully so hopefully both pairs will be successful 👍🏻 #peewits

Overwintering a group of #cattle on a field that will be re sown in the #spring - hundreds of #Lapwings aka #Peewits are on the field and have been for weeks. They have 500 acres of other fields to use, but they stick like glue to this one. #birds #FarmLife #environmental
