🎉Congrats to @CenFutureAIMS Student Fellow @Tyfoods4Thought on his first publication!
His team (@warrenmansell & @rfo_pena) links #PerceptualControlTheory to the #FreeEnergyPrinciple to provide a unified account of how living systems behave

First Published Paper Alert! 📢 - This article compares Perceptual Control Theory with the Free Energy Principle at the level of philosophy, mathematics and modeling of bacterial chemotaxis. Using Category Theory, we propose a unique mathematical synthesis between the two (1/19)

Many thanks to UFLO and APSA for the invitation to speak about PCT and MOL to Psychologists and Psychiatrists from Argentina. So excited by the response it's generating among clinicians. #somosapsa #methodoflevels #pct #perceptualcontroltheory @iapct
Good supporting evidence for #PerceptualControlTheory, “Evidence suggests that nervous systems ... actively generate behaviour in order to control their sensory feedback.” @iapct
New Book Alert: The Interdisciplinary Handbook of Perceptual Control Theory, edited by @warrenmansell brings together latest research, theory, & applications from Powers’ #Perceptualcontroltheory. https://t.co/bGr60Xb4Ao
Hello @warrenmansell! Yes, #perceptualcontroltheory deserves more attention, IMO its v closely related to control-oriented (instrumental) active inference, see e.g. https://t.co/0pmIWrWQbJ https://t.co/h7aeA2ZF0Y
@VyvHuddy @VyvHuddy Yes should be a very useful and user-friendly forum for investigating #perceptualcontroltheory. No specific date yet, a few months
@perceptualrobot great to hear about new #PCTnet forum for discussing #perceptualcontroltheory - any update on when this might be up?
