VLOG - Commodore Amiga 1200 - PiStorm32-Lite (Pi4 CM4) Install. #Commodore #Amiga #PiStorm32-Lite https://t.co/l3qcLeCXDZ via @YouTube
After installing the #PiStorm32-Lite (Pi4 CM4) into my #Commodore #Amiga #1200 I was wondering what clock speeds the Emulated CPU and FPU were at, The Emulated 68040 is clocked @ 1.4GHz and the Emulated FPU (68882) is clocked @ 370.1MHz. The PiStorm32-Lite cost me £220, #Insane
I've installed the #PiStorm32-Lite CM4 (Pi4) into my #Commodore #Amiga #1200. #WOW. My Amiga 1200 has enough power to burn a hole in the Sun. Seeing an Amiga 1200 with 2GB of Fast-RAM is nuts. 1301 X faster than a Stock Amiga 1200, 86 X faster than an Stock Amiga A4000, #Insane.
I've treated myself. why not. I've picked up a #PiStorm32-lite CM4 (Pi4) for my #Commodore #Amiga #1200, It's the one with the breakout board with #USB, #HDMI, and #LAN. Picked it up from #RetroPassion with a 64GB SD card with #CaffineOS pre installed. Can't wait to fire this up.
It's a weird time. I built myself a #PiStorm32-lite CM4 accelerator so I can play #DOOM, which is originally an MS-DOS game, on an unbelievably fast 68040 processor emulated by a Raspberry Pi, in an #Amiga #A1200 retro computer emulating #macOS 8.1 using ShapeShifter ;-)
I wonder if the #PiStorm32 will work right off the bat with this????
That could be a serious boost to Amigas
@LinuxJedi I’m waiting on the #pistorm32 to do 060 with FPU, ideally it akiko chip added on…
That should be utterly ballistic…
I’m desperate to write “explicitly” for a pistorm Amiga… you could do SO much on it!
We have lowered the price of the #PiStorm32-lite. So go and grab yours ASAP!! Available at once!!

Zprovoznil jsem si na A1200 #PiStorm32 ... Co já budu s tou pamětí dělat? 😁 Ještě zbývá nastavit WiFi a Picasso96.
Další hračka na hraní, akorát RPi 3 tam nedám a musel jsem z @rpishop_cz objednat 3A+ #amiga #pistorm32

Also on stability, we had reports that #PiStorm32 made problems on certain Rev2B A1200 Mainboards without the "timing fix". As I really don't like soldering on otherwise working original hardware (e.g. a Phase5 MKIV never needed these "fixes") , we fixed that in the FPGA.
Yesterday evening we made some progress on #PiStorm32 Chipspeed. On long writes (32bit) we are now very close to the theoretical limits of the AGA chipset. This needs further refinement. But a good step into the right direction . https://t.co/e6DdCBDK1J
