A recent collab in Science Translational Medicine featuring #PIIO/#MMT recruit @PeterChockley details a subpopulation of intraepithelial #NKcells that are cytotoxic & tissue-resident (ctrNK). These ctrNK cells could be differentiated & expanded with exposure to epithelial #tumor cells in vitro. ctrNK cells exhibited superior #cancer cell killing, migration, infiltration, #cell_avidity, and ultimately in vivo tumor control in mice.
