The slogans reportedly included threats to 'h@ng Hindus in front of temples' and 'burn them alive.' The cases were registered under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with promoting enmity between different religious, racial, or linguistic groups and doing acts prejudicial to harmony. The complaint against the participants in the Youth League march was filed by the BJP Kanhangad Mandalam President. No arrests have been made yet, according to an officer from the Hosdurg police station. In response to the incident, the Youth League State General Secretary, P K Firoz, stated that the worker who raised the provocative slogans has been expelled from the organization. Firoz clarified that the slogans deviated from the printed version given to the workers for the march and were against the Youth League's ideology. The worker responsible for the slogans was identified as Abdul Salam from Kanhangad Municipality. The BJP, the ruling party at the national level, criticized both the Youth League and the Indian Union Muslim League, a key ally of the Congress-led UDF opposition in Kerala. They alleged that the provocative slogans were raised with the support of the CPI(M)-led LDF Government in the state.
