پشتون کو دہشت گرد کہنا ہمارے لیے انتہائی تکلیف دہ بات ہے۔ خیبر پختونخوا آج بھی پاکستان کو صرف فوجی ہی نہیں بلکہ سماجی، ثقافتی اور انسانی سطح پر بھی مضبوط سہارا دیتا ہے۔ اگر خیبر پختونخوا کا ہر فرد دہشت گرد ہے، اگر وزیرستان کے لوگ دہشت گرد ہیں، اگر شمالی یا جنوبی وزیرستان دہشت گرد ہیں، تو پھر یہ سوال پیدا ہوتا ہے کہ کیا پاکستان کے تمام سفارت خانے، وزرا، اور پارلیمنٹ محفوظ رہ سکتے ہیں؟ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ الزامات بے بنیاد اور ناانصافی پر مبنی ہیں۔ ہم نفرت پھیلانے والے لوگ نہیں ہیں، ہم انتہا پسند نہیں ہیں۔ ہم بنیادی طور پر اللہ کو ماننے والے انسان ہیں۔ ہم تمام انسانوں کو بھائی سمجھتے ہیں، آدمؑ اور حواؑ کی اولاد سمجھتے ہیں۔ آج دنیا ایک گلوبل گاؤں بن چکی ہے، اور اس دنیا میں نفرت کے لیے کوئی جگہ نہیں ہونی چاہیے۔ ہماری ذمہ داری ہے کہ ہم اپنے بچوں کی صحیح تربیت کریں۔ سندھی ہو، بلوچ ہو، پشتون ہو یا پنجابی، سب کو یہ سبق دینا ہوگا کہ انسان کو انسان سمجھا جائے۔ علامہ اقبال اپنی تفہیمِ دین میں یہ بات واضح کرتے ہیں کہ مذہب کا اصل مطلب اللہ کو ماننا اور خدمتِ خلق کرنا ہے۔ اللہ پر ایمان اور انسانیت کی خدمت، یہی اصل دین ہے۔ اگر ہم دنیا میں پرامن بقائے باہمی چاہتے ہیں تو ہمیں یہ پیغام دینا ہوگا کہ ہم نفرت کرنے والے لوگ نہیں ہیں۔ آپ جس اللہ کو مانتے ہیں، جس مذہب کے پیروکار ہیں، جو بھی لباس پہنتے ہیں، سب قابلِ احترام ہیں۔ میں سندھی ہوں تو یہ میرا لباس ہے، یہ میری شناخت ہے۔ میرے لباس سے نفرت نہ کریں۔ سندھی، بلوچ، پشتون یا کسی بھی قوم کو گالی دینا انسانیت کی توہین ہے۔ زندہ رہنے کا حق سب کو ہے۔ تم بھی زندہ رہو، ہم بھی زندہ رہیں۔ ایک دوسرے کو پہچاننے، سمجھنے اور ماننے کا دن دور نہیں، اگر ہم نفرت کے بجائے محبت اور شعور کا راستہ اختیار کریں۔ قائد حزب اختلاف چیئرمین تحریک تحفظ آئین پاکستان محمود خان اچکزئی

Joint Statement We, the undersigned, express deep concern over the growing loss of civilian lives, including women and children, caused by aerial bombardment by the Pakistan Air Force in populated areas of Afghanistan. We call on both sides to immediately bring the current armed conflict to an end. We regard this escalation as an undeclared war disproportionately affecting Pashtuns living on both sides of the Durand Line. It is deeply alarming that 99 percent of the victims of this conflict are Pashtuns. We further express serious concern that, without a clear shift in Pakistan’s Afghanistan policy the continuation of this war will further endanger civilian lives. We also note with concern that Parliament has been bypassed in decisions that have grave consequences for the people of the region. We wish to make it clear that the decades long extremism and terrorism that have claimed countless innocent lives are not products of indigenous society. There is ample evidence that these destructive forces were injected into our body politic through billions of dollars invested since the 1980s in building and sustaining an infrastructure of violence. For decades, Pashtuns have been demanding an end to Pakistan’s role as a so-called “front-line state,” the dismantling of great-power projects of violence in the region, and the beginning of peaceful, good neighborly relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. For us the fires of war in West Asia ignited by the imperialist invasion of Iran by US and Israel is deeply disturbing. We demand an immediate cessation of the hostilities of devastating attacks that apart from destroying the lives and properties of the people in the region, is also threatening world peace.
