Es un método de ajuste estadístico que se usa en estudios observacionales para reducir el sesgo de selección al comparar grupos con características diferentes
Representa la probabilidad de que un paciente reciba una exposición o tratamiento dado un conjunto de covariables basales
PS = P (tratamiento | covariables)
Se calcula con un modelo de regresión logística, donde la variable dependiente = exposición (tratamiento Vs no tratamiento) y variables independientes = factores de confusión
