Q fever不是罕見人畜共通傳染病，在台灣疾管署是有發生案例統計，每年發生的案例是逐年下降。

Q fever的病原是一種叫貝氏考克斯菌（Coxiella burnetii）的細菌，這種細菌也會在牛羊身上造成疾病，大概在2008年左右的統計，約有15%的牛羊有感染過這個細菌，部分羊的流產可能跟這個菌的感染有關。而且回溯研究發現這個細菌可能從1989年就在台灣發生，這樣怎麼跟COVID比擬。
人的感染模式主要是人吸入空氣中帶有該細菌的動物分泌物，罕見的感染模式是飲入未經巴斯德殺菌的生乳，人傳人的案例非常非常罕見。比較嚴重案例會產生肺炎或肝炎，症狀輕微者透過抗生素治療是可以痊癒。
不論是Q熱或是HMPV，都不是真正現在應該關注的病原，真正要關注的是COVID和禽流感，尤其是造成腦受損的neuroCOVID，或是肺部的long COVID，以及開始北美逐漸擴散的H5N1禽流感。渡過春節後，2025年後幾年內會是一個挑戰，因為每10年左右台灣會有一波登革熱大流行，前一次是2015-2016兩年。
媒體請找到真正的專家，醫生有專業但不一定是專家，台灣是有人畜共通傳染病學者，也有病毒學家和細菌學家，他們會知道什麼是值得關注的問題，別浪費注意力在不重要的事上。
