@Ananth_IRAS Congratulations. 🎉 But, it is a sad REALITY that we are all happy today to achieve #130_kmph speed for "one stretch of our #Rail_Track" in year 2022. 😭 As you rightly tweeted earlier, Indian Railways could achieve #130_kmph speed in year 1969 itself for Rajdhani Express.

Hon.@narendramodi ji UNTIL #Design_Flaw of #Rail_Track is rectified, derailments DO happen, even after excellent execution of maintenance schedules for rail-tracks I reiterate: One of the biggest mistakes in your entire political career is "ignoring my Rail-Track research" 🙏

@marinebharat PSC sleepers over the whole network, 52/60 KG rail section, almost every joint welded, LWR(Long welded Rails) over most of the network, mechanised maintenance, regular inspection runs by RDSO and the Engineering dept. Is all this available over the African railways?

@aparanjape @AshwiniVaishnaw @EconomicTimes Trains can be made of 300kmph, but what we need is path and track upgrade to actually run the train at that speed. Otherwise, even with capability, the only visible result would be the newly designed speedometer.

Hon. @narendramodi ji, Kindly understand the ground - reality. Occurance of #Rail_Fractures is still a BIG problem. Modern-Railway constitutes both #Rail_Track as well as #Rolling_Stock. Any how, #Vande_Bharat_TrainSets are going to improve #Average_Speed of trains in India.

..to set track geometry standards for running trains at 160 kmph on Delhi-Bhopal & Delhi-Kanpur section, but then Rly Bd lost its way & speed has remained stagnant at 130 kmph for more than 25 yrs. Pl read my post in the link below how the new plan to run trains at 200 kmph..

Hon.@narendramodi ji Indian Railways HAS BEEN ATTEMPTING to raise #Train_Speed to #160_kmph since 50 years. #Rail_Track of Indian Railways has #Design_Flaw, and hence trains cannot be speeded up. #Sabka_Prayas is just a slogan to you, but aren't interested in practical reality

IR planned on raising speeds of the Rajdhanis to 160 kmph soon after launch. In Sep 1971, a trial run achieved 162 kmph on Delhi - Kanpur route. As of now, 160 kmph upgrades on Mumbai-Delhi and Delhi-Howrah routes are expected to be complete in 2024.
