பதவிகள் வரும்; போகும் என்பதுகூட அல்ல. இந்தப் பதவிகள் தமிழ் இனத்தைக் காப்பதற்கு ஒரு கருவியாக இருக்க வேண்டுமேயொழிய, தமிழ் இனத்தை அழிப்பதற்கு இந்தப் பதவிகள் பயன்படக் கூடாது என்பதற்காக, அந்த பதவிகள் எதிரிகளுடைய கருவிகளாக இருக்கக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக, அந்தப் பதவியிலே இருப்பவர்கள் இன எதிரிகளாக தங்களை ஆக்கிக்கொள்ளக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக இன்னும் கூடச் சொன்னால் தமிழ் இனத்தை அழிப்பவர்கள், இன உணர்வை மங்கச் செய்பவர்கள், மொழிப்பற்றை மழுங்கச் செய்பவர்கள் இருக்கிறார்களே என்ற அந்த வகையிலே திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம் அந்தப் பதவிகளையும் கருத்திலே கொள்ளவேண்டியட அவசியம் இருக்கிறதே தவிர, திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம் பெரியார் காட்டிய பாதையில் அண்ணா அவர்களுடைய உள்ளத்திலே நிலவி வந்த உணர்வுகளின் அடிப்படையில், அரசியல் பதவிகளுக்காக இந்தக் கட்சியை நடத்தவில்லை என்பதை நான் நினைவூட்டுகிறேன்.
ஆனால் அரசியல் பதவிகளுக்காக அல்ல- அதிகாரங்களுக்காக அல்ல என்பதாலேயே அரசியல் நடத்தமாட்டோம் என்று யாரும் கருத வேண்டாம். இந்த நாட்டில் அரசியல் எப்படி நடக்க வேண்டும் என்று தீர்மானிக்கிற ஆற்றல் இந்த நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு ஏற்படுகிற அளவுக்கு நாங்கள் அரசியல் நடத்துவோம்.

চাৰিআলিৰ চুকত বাহিৰৰ মানুহ এজনে প্ৰশ্নৰ উত্তৰ নিদি অলপ ফিচিঙা ফিচিং কৰি থাকিলে যেতিয়াই কৈ দিয়া যায়, "আপকো আছামীয়া চমঝ্ মে নাহি আতা হে ক্যা ?", তেতিয়াই তেওঁক এটা ধাৰণা দি দিয়া হয় যে অসমত অসমীয়াৰ "অ" টো নাজানিলেও চলি যাব পাৰি, ব্যৱসায় বানিজ্য কৰি ধনী হ'ব পাৰি । বাহিৰৰ মানুহজন জ্যোতি আগৰৱালাৰ মামাকৰ পিতেক নহয় যে তেওঁ অসমীয়া ভাষাক বুকুৰ কুটুম বুলি ল'ব । মূলতঃ এইসকল টেঙৰ ব্যৱসায়ী - লাভ লোকচান য'ত মূল বিষয়! দুই-এজনে অসমীয়া শিকিব পাৰে কিন্তু তেওঁলোকৰ বাবে নতুনকৈ ভাষা এটা শিকাৰ প্ৰয়োজন নো কি? - নিশিকিলেও ধুনীয়াকৈ যিহেতু চলি যায় । অদৰকাৰী বস্তুৰ প্ৰতি মানুহৰ সন্মান এনেইও কম ।
এইক্ষেত্ৰত পৰিবেশ এটা গঢ় দিয়াৰ দায়িত্ব আমাৰ, য'ত বাহিৰৰ মানুহে ক'ব লাগিব, "অসমত অসমীয়া নাজানিলে.. চলিবলৈ অলপ দিগদাৰ!" যিদৰে পোলেণ্ডত পোলিছ্ ভাষা নাজানিলে চলিবলৈ দিগদাৰ, ছেকিয়াত ছেক্ ভাষা নক'লে চলিবলৈ অলপ দিগদৰ । বহু শিক্ষিত লোকে ক'ব পাৰে যে, "আৰে! এনে অৱস্থাত দেখোন অসমত বাহিৰা investment য়েই নহ'ব !" কিন্তু আমাৰ যুক্তি হ'ব: যদি নিজৰ মুখৰ ভাষাক বলিদান দি অসমক ছিলিকন ভেলী বনাব বিচাৰিছে, তেন্তে তেনে ছিলিকশ ভেলী লুইতত জাহ যোৱাটোয়েই কাম্য । অসমীয়াৰ ঘৰত ভাত খাবলৈ দিব পাৰি - "অতিথি দেৱ ভব" ; কিন্তু আঙুলি খাবলৈতো দিব নোৱাৰি ! বৰ্তমান পৰিস্থিতিত আঙুলিৰ লগতে আমাৰ আত্মাও কাঁহীত সজাই দিয়া হয় ।
অসমীয়া এটা অতীতত বাস কৰা জাতি ! লাচিতে এনেকুৱা কৰিছিল, অম্বিকাগিৰীয়ে এনেকুৱা লিখিছিল... অমুক-তমুক.. কিন্তু বৰ্তমানৰ অৱস্থা কি ? এটা স্বাভিমান শূণ্য উদাসীন জাতি যি মুখৰ ভাষাৰ মান ৰক্ষাত বিফল । Survival of the fittest ৰ সংজ্ঞাত দুৰ্বলক লাহে লাহে সবলে স্থানচ্যুত কৰিব, আৰু তাৰ পৰিসংখ্যা আমাৰ চকুৰ আগত ।
আকৌ মান্ধাতা যুগতে "ন-অসমীয়া" মানে "মি* ঞা" সকলৰ মুখতো অসমীয়া ভাষা ৰৰৈয়া মাত ওলাইছিল । দিন বাগৰাৰ লগে লগে তেওঁলোকে নহৰু ছেলোৱা দাঁত দেখুওৱাবলৈ লৈছে - অসমলৈ আহি নিজৰ আলু সিজাবলৈ এসময়ত অসমীয়া শিকাৰ প্ৰয়োজন আছিল ; এতিয়া নাই । গতিকে অসমীয়া ভাষাৰ কিহৰ প্ৰয়োজন !
বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়বোৰতো অসমীয়াত MA/PhD কৰি কেৱল competitive exam দিয়াৰ বাবে অথবা শিক্ষকৰ চাকৰি লৈ কেৱল পৰিয়াল পৰিকল্পনাৰ বাবে অসমীয়া বিভাগবোৰ প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰিছিল যেন অনুভৱ হয় । নতুন আকৰ্ষণীয় ধাৰাৰ সাহিত্যৰ সৃষ্টি তথা ভাষাৰ সম্প্ৰসাৰণৰ দায়িত্ব এই অসমীয়া পঢ়ি থকা ল'ছালীখিনিৰ অধিক । সংকুচিত হৈ অহা ভাষা এটাক লৈ আমাৰ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়বোৰত চলি থকা "হাই-ফাই" গৱেষণা দেখিলে খুব হাঁহি উঠে ! ক'বলৈ মন যায় যে, তেল -পিয়াজেই নাই ইফালে গাহৰি মাংস খাম নে পঠা ছাগলী খাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ত তাৰ আলোচনা চলি আছে । ভাষাটোৰ সম্প্ৰসাৰণ তথা সৰলীকৰণত বিদ্যায়তনিক ক্ষেত্ৰখনৰ অৱদান কি বুলি সুধিলে শূণ্যৰ বাদে বেলেগ উত্তৰ একো নাপাওঁ ।
আশাৰ বিষয়টো হ'ল উঠি অহা ল'ছালীবোৰৰ ভাষাপ্ৰীতি । ফেচবুক, কলেজ-স্কুলৰ আলোচনী, নতুন গান-নাটক আদিৰ মাধ্যমেৰে অতি উচ্চ স্তৰৰ সাহিত্য চৰ্চা তথা লিখনি প্ৰকাশ হৈ থকা দেখোঁ । সাহিত্য সভাৰ সভাপতি হৈ থাকোঁতে কুল শইকীয়াদেৱে লোৱা পদক্ষেপো কিছু আশাব্যঞ্জক আছিল ! নতুন চামক উৎসাহ প্ৰদান তথা ব্যক্তিগত স্তৰত নিজৰ ঘৰখনতে বা বজাৰখনতে ভাষাটোক সম্প্ৰসাৰণ কৰাৰ প্ৰচেষ্টাটোয়েই মূল উদ্দেশ্য হ'ব লাগে । সৰুতে যি বুঢ়ী আইৰ সাধু ভাল পাব, ডাঙৰ হ'লে সি অসমীয়া ভাষাও ভাল পাব, আৰু ভাষাৰ সম্প্ৰসাৰণৰ বাবেও কাম কৰিব - বুজাই বুজিছে চাগে কি কৈছোঁ !
