Absolutely. Start immediately and build those dialogues with youth into your teacher practice. Remember to start with small groups (no more than four) outside of the classroom #RealityPedagogy

Cogenerative dialogues get us closest to cross cultural exchange in the classroom. Start with 4 students and then rotate a student out and a new one in. There is no guarantee that all cultures will be equally represented but we can ensure that no one is harmed #RealityPedagogy

Hi @chrisemdin my class and I just finished up FWFWTITH and we also watched your TedTalk on reality pedagogy. Regarding your 5 C's, I love your reasoning for the order the words are in and what you brought up about integrating community figures into the classroom (context).
The most negative outcomes for me from #RealityPedagogy have been my ego being bruised, my feelings being hurt from hearing youth tell me what has harmed them from my teaching. Once I learn from what they offer me and set my ego aside, we (the class) all grows together.

Folks often ask about how #RealityPedagogy is enacted in early ed. The answer is… the same way everywhere. With vulnerability & honesty. The teaching techniques remain the same. The difference for different ages is in the intangibles (tone/patience/time) based on what they need
