/2 That's the odd thing about paradigm change @tskuhn_com :
it's the technologists / craftsmen who just get on and do it cos it works.
Decades later managers / politicos recognise it, having fought to preserve their old paradigm.
#ReclaimOurData can't wait.
@openEHR time is NOW.
@clinicalmodels but the Health IT industry doesn't want to standardise their own data models, cos there's money to be made from locking us into systems using models that only interoperate as another chargeable service.
It's a scandal.

@ReasObBob @wolands_cat It's a socio-political issue.
Our data has been privatised by locking into hundreds of silos of proprietary architectures, ignoring the long-published reference architecture of #OpenEHR.
The #healthIT industry charges us to manage our data.
"#ReclaimOurData" is the public's cry!
‘Facing Up to #Biometrics ’ Incredibly inspiring talk by @hare_brain for @cada1dotnet https://t.co/sUwOACiKjn

Yup. Until we #ReclaimOurData from multiple silos into an open vendor-neutral platform using a universal language, we're locked into forever paying fees for transactions between silos.
It's like being taxed on using our own health data.
Go @ndsscotland !
@doctorcaldwell @dem6464 @stefafra @jodyaberdein @vickyrobinbaum @sbrudnicki @DanielBayley80 @DrUmeshPrabhu @SaraRiggare @griffglen So, fundamentally I think standards and Interop will only get us so far, it won't transform HealthCare. Data will still be in silo's, semantics and meaning will be lost in messaging. The only game changer is a single shared information model, thankfully Scotland is on that path.
