I was careful to call it a *proposed plan.* But, the highlights listed above are fairly essential elements of any final version: ✅🏖️ Shoreline protection has been an essential part for #RedefinetheDrive from the start, which will yield new reclaimed land, whose only reasonable use is as new beach. ✅🌳 Or, new parkland. ✅🚶‍♂️@IDOT_Illinois & @ChicagoDOT have stated that there will be pedestrian/bike crossings every 0.25 miles on LSD, so the new crossings at the S-curve and Banks St are likely safe elements too. ⁉️🚌 I’d like have that same certainty with regards to bus lanes on LSD.

Embarrassing, dangerous, and unacceptable, Chicago. This #RedefineTheDrive thing needs to move faster, and we need to rebalance our lakefront transportation infrastructure along #NDLSD. Fewer cars. More buses, bikes, and pedestrians.
