Baroness Cumberlege: “I welcome the decision taken to compensate those impacted. Nevertheless, this is also a time to think about others who have suffered avoidable harm through no fault of their own, in particular those affected by sodium valproate, mesh and Primodos.
‘We are calling for people who have suffered because of Primodos, Sodium Valporate and Surgical Mesh also be compensated but we are calling it redress, because they should not have to go through the courts, they have suffered so much for so long.’
