Research in papillary cancer is moving quickly with 2 randomised trial complete (savolitinib/durvalumab in MET +ves & Zanzalintinib+nivolumab). Here @lalaniMD describes in his Uromigos video current & future treatment based around VEFG & PD-1 therapy @OncoAlert #UromigosLive
Until we have randomized studies, we will not truly understand the contribution of IO in TKI/IO combinations for non-clear cell #kidneycancer. #STELLAR304 & #SAMETA are v imp P3 trials that have yet to read out - in the meantime, please consider supporting @SWOG #PAPMET2, led by @maughanonc @huntsmancancer.

Working with @KidneyCancerDoc (my dear friend/coresident from @UCLAHealth days), he put together this analysis from @SWOG 1500 that shows the utility (or lack thereof!) of the old system of papillary #kidneycancer subtyping (now in @BJUIjournal). This work couldn't have been done without the terrific expert pathologists on the study (#Tretiokova, #Humphrey & #Adeniran).
