@hubiegallagher Didn’t see the report. Not surprised by the HSE finger-pointing. Junior docs expected, nay - forced, to work long hours of overtime - they cannot be expected to be sharp-minded. #SaveOurDocs

There is no way to truly describe the type of fatigue doctors experience post-duty. You feel the tiredness down to your BONES. You walk the wards in a total daze, like a foggy auto-pilot setting. Blurry vision. Hands shaking.Headache. It feels "out-of-body" at times. Trust me.

I have hit so many cars being tired it’s just a regular thing. I hit a car in KFC drive thru, I just had to say I’m just tired and hungry and the person felt sorry and let me go.

PCPs, internists, pediatricians, etc, are struggling even while bravely trying to treat their patients and make appropriate referrals. Any stimulus package needs to include extra for these practitioners before they’re no longer able to practice. #SaveOurDocs
