Not only does this connect to my JMP, but to other work as well. I have another working paper on the welfare impacts of part time employment for economic reasons. Slides from my #SEA2018 presentation on that work can be found here: https://t.co/IpmxWPaIHP
This abstract from the new @AEAjournals Macro. More evidence connecting shifts from full to part-time work w/ same employer to hours adjustments over the business cycle. Interesting, and links to @rachelsederberg's JMP.

Congratulations to one of our Secure Erie Accelerator graduates, @WeatherCheckCo for being featured in a recent Forbes article highlighting “Startups to Watch at CES 2019.” #SEA2018

At #SEA2018, I presented my JMP "A Blessing or a Curse? The Long-term Effect of Resource Booms on Human Capital and Living Conditions." A long-standing question in development economics is if resource abundance is a blessing or a curse for a country (Sachs and Warner, 1999).
I had a great time presenting two of my papers at #APPAM2018 and #SEA2018. If you miss them, you can find the papers here:

I had a great time presenting my jmp on the impact of economic opportunity on criminal behavior at #APPAM2018 & #SEA2018! If you missed it, the paper is linked here:

Thankful for the wonderful community on Twitter!! #SEA2018 was great to finally meet @graykimbrough, @analisapackham, @jillianbcarr, and @JaminSpeer.
A very cool JMP on the link between human capital and social capital -- bringing together the pioneering work of Gary Becker and @GlennLoury -- so fitting especially in light of Glen's masterful Distinguished lecture at the #SEA2018

and don't forget the Review of Economics of the Household as a possible outlet for your research! https://t.co/VFIa6bbVXo Many authors who have published in REHO were at #SEA2018, including @TimDiette Joe Sabia (@SDSUCHEPS ) Melinda Pitts and Laura Argys.
I was only at #SEA2018 long enough for two @ASHE_ASSA sessions, but it was time well spent. Got to meet the inspiring @econoflove and @CarycruzBueno (who is amazing and on the job market)!

@CarycruzBueno @jevaygrooms @dsebastiantello And we’re so glad the AEA Mentoring Program could support your travel to the #SEA2018, thanks to @NSF! #AEAsmpc
Interesting! Reminded me of @christopherruhm’s #SEA2018 presidential address on Monday where he asked whether the prevalent emphasis on clean identification is keeping us from asking questions that matter.
(1/2) "If a question is worth asking, it shouldn't matter what the result is." Great insight--I'm excited to see how pre-results review affects how much rigorous evidence is shared in the Journal of Development Economics. Read more on the @JPAL_Global blog https://t.co/Ih12jfJN48
In action! Presenting the impacts of K-12 full-time virtual schools at #sea2018. Thanks @jevaygrooms @dsebastiantello for your support on Tuesday.

Had a fantastic time at #SEA2018. I always enjoy the Southerns and getting to see great research, but this year I felt everyone had amped up their game. Great to see old and new friends, and impressive JMCs. Now for the last stretch of the semester.
Dr. Yellen is speaking to the lack of descriptive studies in economics. Is our obsession with causal inferences limiting the scope of economics research and what role do journal have in it?
This sentiment was echoed by @christopherruhm #SEA2018 Presidential Address.
