Ten years ago today, the greatest #evangelism professor in our history finished his race, having fought the good fight and having kept the faith. For those of us privileged to have been his @SWBTS students, Dr. Roy J. Fish left an indelible imprint. Thankful for his #SWBTSLegacy.

107 years ago OTD in @SBCHistory, our founder and 1st president, B.H. Carroll, died. Before he passed, he charged his would-be successor, L.R. Scarborough, to keep @SWBTS “lashed to the cross.” Carroll’s exhortation remains our seminary’s unswerving commitment today. #SWBTSLegacy
We celebrated the 100th anniversary of the @SWBTSMusic and Terry Schools at @SWBTS during our fall BOT meeting this week. They were the first and are the last freestanding schools of their kind in the world of accredited theological education. #SWBTSLegacy

I was just reminded of the kindness & expertise of a former professor of mine @SWBTS, Siegfried Schatzmann. He taught me Theological German. He was demanding but pastoral. He was a servant. Lord, help me follow his example. He passed away in 2018. I’m grateful to have known him.
